As a Ground Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering training modules for our Cabin Crew and Pilots, ensuring alignment with Jetstar’s ever-changing requirements. You’ll develop and deliver Aircrew Safety and Emergency Procedures, Dangerous Goods, First Aid, Cabin Service, and secondary skills training programs, including both practical and theoretical components. You will also ensure course materials are compliant with company procedures and relevant legislation.


To be considered for this role, ideally you’ll have:

  • Recent Cabin Crew experience (minimum 12 months)
  • Ability to achieve Regulatory Approval to conduct emergency procedures training and assessment
  • Proven experience in computer-based training (CBT), facilitation, classroom training for adults and working knowledge of adult learning principles is highly preferable
  • Ability to manage a busy workload, diverse portfolios, conflict resolution and relationship building with other departments
  • Excellent computer and administrative skills
  • A natural ability to lead, support and guide others
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated resilience in dynamic operational environments, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining high standards of work
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally for up to 3-4 weeks at a time to support training delivery
  • Excellent health and fitness, including the ability to swim and tread water
